Can I use Guess the Baby for an in-person or virtual baby shower?

Absolutely! Guess The Baby is the ultimate way to bring people together before the big day. Whether it's a baby shower, gender reveal, or virtual event, it keeps everyone connected, entertained, and part of the excitement. Participants can join instantly from anywhere using your custom shareable link or QR code, and they play right in their phone browser with no download required.

Do participants need to download the app?

No. Participants can join and play right from their mobile browser with zero downloads. They can also use the Guess the Baby app if they'd like, and both offer the same seamless experience.

Can I have someone else help manage the event?

Yes! Guess The Baby includes a co-organizer feature so you can share event management with your partner, a family member, or a friend. Co-organizers can help call questions, handle skips, and assist with running the baby pool.

How much does Guess the Baby cost?

Full Access is a one-time payment of $19.99 (no subscriptions). It includes unlimited participants, unlimited custom questions, the Split-the-Pot feature (perfect for supporting the new baby's future fund), Treasurer Mode, a printable QR code for baby shower displays, and additional premium perks. Because it's an app, your baby pool persists across the entire pregnancy: participants can revisit their guesses any time and, once the baby arrives and answers are called, easily go back to see how they did.

Can I test the app first?

Absolutely! You can create a free demo event with up to 3 participants and 3 predictions to explore how everything works. It's a great way to get familiar with the experience. To invite your full circle of friends and family, simply unlock Full Access.

Do participants have to pay to join an event?

No, participants always play 100% free! The only limitation is the 3-person demo. Once you unlock Full Access, unlimited participants can join your baby pool at no cost, straight from their browser or the free app. If you are running a paid baby pool, the organizer (or a designated treasurer) handles buy-ins separately through Treasurer Mode.

What is Treasurer Mode?

Treasurer Mode lets the pool organizer or a co-organizer collect baby pool buy-ins up front through Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, Zelle, or any preferred payment method, confirm each payment inside the app, and guarantee the final pot before the baby arrives. Only confirmed participants can place bets and appear on the leaderboard.

Is there a limit to how many people can join my baby pool?

Only during the demo. Once you activate Full Access, your event has no participant limit. Invite your entire baby shower, coworkers, grandparents, friends from out of town—anyone you'd like to be part of the fun!

Event Management

Once my event is published, can I edit it?

Yes! You can edit your event details, add or delete questions, and change answer choices before participants start guessing. Once a specific question has been answered, that question is locked, but you can still add new questions.

How are points scored and how does the leaderboard work?

The leaderboard ranks participants by the percentage of questions they answer correctly. As you call each question, the app automatically tallies correct and incorrect guesses and updates the leaderboard in real time. When the final question is called, the leaderboard locks and the winner is revealed!

How do I close out an event and announce the winner?

Once your baby arrives, simply "call" the correct answers for each question in the app. If a question doesn't have a clear answer, you can skip it. After the final call, the event closes automatically, results are tallied, and everyone sees the final leaderboard!
